lombard cd solution required - 2006/06/15 17:27Hi! I'm new 'round here and have a question. I have 333 lombard i just bought on ebay for $35. The problem is that it doesn't come with a cd drive. I was trying to find one on ebay but they seem to be rather rare and extraordinarily expensive. Now my question is: can i take an expansion bay zip drive, remove the drive from it's caddy and put a cd drive in its place? I have a laptop cd drive, it's just that it's for a wallstreet and the caddies are different if i'm not mistaken. Also, if anyone can tell me where i can get a lombard cd drive for cheap, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Re:lombard cd solution required - 2006/06/15 23:50For what little ya need a cdrom for, I would think that an external scsi is the way to go... unless you don't have one of those either..This could be a challenge!! Heck if you really need cd capability.. network to another machine [ethernet].. that may do it. HTH MV
