Ibook G4 800mhz notebook need help! (RAM HELP) - 2007/05/07 12:33 Ok so they say you can only upgrade the ram to 640mb but some users have maxed the ram to 1152mb of ram? To do this do you just place a 1gb stick inside the computer or is there is a special software that enables you to do this? Your help is appreciated.

Thank you! Dayta

Re:Ibook G4 800mhz notebook need help! (RAM HELP) - 2007/05/08 07:37 All you need is a compatible 1GB stick of RAM. When the Mac was made there were no 1GB sticks available so the max was 640MB with one 512MB stick in the RAM slot. OWC sell the correct RAM for your iBook (see link on this page)
