krowmagnum,
My two Power Macs are a Power Computing PCPro and a PTPro. I
stopped using them in 2002, and went over to the Dark Side. I'm proud
to say I just bought a Mac Pro and am busy learning Leopard. Thanks
for the kind comments.
Mark

My two favorite clones. If they had only put a 60MHz bus on the PTPro like the PCPro has !

How does it feel to be back to using a Mac ? Big difference for the late 90's and OS 8 or 9.

I never went to the dark side but I do dabble in it now and then.
I do have a peecee that I use for games and a couple other things and the more I use it, the more I appreciate OS X. I tried Vista on it for a while but was far too flaky and didn't support my PCI ATA card so I went back to XP Pro and it's not bad. But I would rather not use an OS that I describe as "not bad". Microsoft really is trying.

My main Mac is a Quicksilver G4 and I really like it a lot. Nice machine and it's tricked out with some goodies so it runs Leopard pretty well. Not as good as your Mac Pro but it's usable.

I could never get rid of my old PTPro.

Re:Still using your old school PowerPC ? - 2008/03/29 01:58 I still have two pre-G3s in active service.
I have one 8100/80 running 7.5.5, Sound Designer II, Digital Performer, and NOTHING else. This old app still runs very well, though I don't use DP much. This Mac is only used for audio editing. The Digidesign A/D converters suck, so my only I/O is digital, but the editor still works wonders.
I also still run Performer 4.2 on an old 6100/66 under 7.5.5. I have more "modern" sequencing software, but I prefer the 4.2 interface.

Everything else I have is more "modern", and for some reason gives me more trouble.

True, but I get more work done while driving my old Volkswagen than I do taking my Firarri to Guseppi every week for a tuneup.

Re:Still using your old school PowerPC ? - 2008/06/01 06:57 I only have 1 pre-G3 Mac hooked up right now, but I have so many Macs and Apples stacked in my closet, I don't remember what I have. Only pre G that is hooked up is the Power Macintosh 5500/250. I use it to play my older games.
