PB3400C os9 iTunes2 - 2006/08/28 13:00Hello, I tried the above config altough Apple does not support it. I know now they right although it's a small but annoying issue. It works well as stand alone but there's no sound on the headphone connector. It worked under 8.6 with iTunes1.1. Has anyone a solution. The sound extension that's lying around the internet does not do the trick. It would be so nice to have a "stationary" MP3 player with a large screen connected to the amplifier.Cables etc have been checket with other systems, going back to 8.6 works, so it's something with OS9 not supporting the HW of the 3400. I heard on a wallstreet it works, and the difference with the 3400 is minimal, well the processor....
thanks for any input Peter

Re:PB3400C os9 iTunes2 - 2006/08/28 19:35What version of OS 9 are you using ? I've never had a 3400 but OS 9 worked fine on my 1400 with iTunes. I may have been using iTunes version 1 though. Your 3400 should run OS 9.0 or 9.1 just fine although possible a little slow.
You can use SoundJam instead if you can find a copy of it. It's the original iTunes before Aple bought the application license and it works with OS 8.something on up.
