hindenbook 5300 lcd swap - 2007/02/10 09:06 hello forum,
i am a pc guy and have recently become interested in collecting old powerbooks. collection includes 2 520c's,a 5300, and 5300cs. i was hoping someone could verify if a color lcd from the 5300cs could be direct swapped onto the 5300. i have a spare working lcd for the cs and am going to install, or attempt to install it later today. it appears, from the limited research i've done, that the vram and controller are integrated into the lcd enclosue. is this correct? also, does anyone have any links to an exploded view of the 520 or 5300?
