old mac Serial number Research - 2008/07/28 09:29 I need to find the origin of some old macs. Where can one find out the original purchaser of older macs by their serial number? Does anyone know a contact at apple or a place where this kind of info can be requested? Post here or contact me directly [via private message] as I have an urgent need for this info.

Re:old mac Serial number Research - 2008/07/28 14:45 I seriously doubt that anyone at Apple would be willing, or able to give out that information even on old Macs. Most companies would never give out any personal information of that kind.

You could try calling Apple but I don't think you'll get anywhere.

Good luck
