no, sit is a compression format, you need to find an old copy of stuffit expander.

Yep, I knew that...... Does'nt the new StuffIt expanders work on those? And, is it possible to ubstuff a sit file on a PC?

Answering myself.... Yes, StufIt Expander did the job!

New question: It seems that the cable that runs from the keyboard to the Mac is missing. Does Mac use the same cable on modern machines, and if not, where can you get one?

The SE uses Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) coiled cable and ADB was discontinued with the B&W G3 but there are plenty around on eBay or LEMSwap (Google Group) for very little money. Or any later ADB keyboard will work also. The later ADB models had the cable attached to the keyboard permanently and are full size keyboards.

You may also find the cable or keyboard at your local computer recycler or thrift stores. I used to find a lot of the cables at Goodwill but they are getting more scarce lately. There are still plenty around though.
