LCIII and SCSI. - 2007/09/29 14:25Simply put, the computer won't boot up with a SCSI zip drive plugged into it. What am I doing wrong? I mean.... no power up, nothing.

Re:LCIII and SCSI. - 2007/09/29 16:31OK, That's what I thought but I wanted to make sure.
Did the LC work with the Zip drive in the past ?
Does the LC boot ok with just the SCSI cable attached ?
Do you have any other SCSI peripherals you can test the SCSI port with ?
I would also try the cable and Zip drive on another Mac if possible.
Something very odd is happening through the SCSI port that I've never seen before and my first guess would be there is a problem with the SCSI controller or port. My second guess would be the cable or the drive itself. The odd part is that whatever the problem is the LC won't power on because of it.
I would also post the problem on the 68kMLA forums where the majority of 68k Mac Gurus reside. 68KMLA
