Macbook Charger - 2009/09/04 23:03 Question- The macbook charger is labeled as putting out 16.5V, 3.65A. If I were to cut the wire after the box that plugs into the wall and hook it up to a DC power supply that is supplies 16.5V at 3.65A, would that be bad for the laptop? I guess my question is if the white square box on the Macbook charger is just a DC converter, or if it is actually a smartcharger that keeps the laptop battery from overcharging, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
