iMac Core Duo 1.83- 17" software - 2009/01/25 18:02 Should I upgrade to 10.5.5 from 10.4.11? Is there a way to upgrade the hardware to current iMac specs, or buy a new machine? Is it easy to install more RAM?

Re:iMac Core Duo 1.83- 17" software - 2009/03/31 21:36 First off you cannot upgrade processors or graphics on an iMac - the price you pay for a slim line machine. If you wish to upgrade the OS suggest waiting to June or whenever Snow Leopard OS X.6 is released.

As for specs and memory check this out:-

You can max the memory out to 2GB but must use a matched pair of 1GB modules, one in each slot. This support item from Apple explains how top do it:-
