Re:air port extereme - 2008/05/05 14:23 The G4 Mini uses an Airport Extreme card, not the regular Airport "G" card and it's not what I would call easy to install. You can find the hardware fairly cheap on eBay but I would not advise attempting to install one unless you have a lot of experience with computers.

There are other options such as an ethernet bridge that requires no software usually. Or there are USB wifi adapter but you will need to make sure you get one that has Mac drivers available for your OS.
USB is easy and fairly inexpensive.

OWC has several USB wireless adapters available here:

There are many others available but there are usually no drivers available. The drivers listed below are not free and generally are for wireless PCI cards and PCMCIA cards but may work with some USB wireless adapters.

You can check out OrangeWare for some models their driver works with:

Or IoXperts:

There is also eBay but you won't find one for less than the ASUS USB wireless adapter on OWC's site for $29.99. A friend uses that model and he said it works great.

OHS also has USB wireless adapters that are priced at $29.77. Just click on the advertisement on this page.
