Help Please - 2009/06/29 12:14 Ok, I have an Ipod classic that I've had for about 3 years now. Unfortunately, being the scatterbrain that I am, I accidentally washed the poor thing in the washing machine without checking my pants for it before doing the load of laundry.DOH! . It had also been messing up a bit and the lights were going on the fritz, but I could deal with that. However, to the problem at hand: The inside mechanics work when I try to reset it (I tried to charge it and that produced a temporary flash on the screen). When I reset it it would make some mechanical clicking and then a sound that I can only describe as the sound of a CD stopping inside a CD player (that's the best I got :P).

anyway, My question to you guys is this: Should I bother trying to get it repaired? The Ipod store won't take it back because of the 1 year warranty deal. Or, Should I just go out and get a new one?

I'd really appreciate help from anyone. I like this little device and would like some input before I go out and waste too much on a new one.

Thanks a Million ;)

Heather

PS: on the plus side, It does have that "Fresh Gain Smell" XD
