broken iTunes links/how best to fix? - 2009/06/16 16:37 I use my iPod primarily to hold songs already on my PC in various folders - sometimes I have to move the source files, and it seems that this breaks the links in iTunes - I'd like to understand why this happens, and why iTunes cares where the source files move to, since it has its own hidden folder of songs. Even more so, I'd be curious if there are better ways to fix these links than one-by-one. For example, can't you multiselect 10 songs in the same album, navigate to the folder on the PC that has the 10 songs, and let iTunes sort it out? Seems it lets you pick only one song at a time to find the source file for, and makes you click on the file - it can't even recognize it is the same-named file as the listing with the broken link. Surprised iTunes breaks so easily and has such poor capability to repair the broken links. Am I missing something? Appreciate any help or clarification! Thanks!
