EveryMac.com Forum

How can I format my messages?

The EveryMac.com Forums support bold, italic, underlined, colored, and "quoted" text, as well as images, lists and links. The tags are used as follows:

Bold will produce Bold

Italic will produce Italic

Underline will produce Underline

Size will produce Size

Red will produce Red

will produce a image with the maximum width of 480 pixels.

Images are intended to be used primarily in the "Wanted to Buy, For Sale, & Trade" forum. All images will be reviewed prior to posting. Before attempting to post an image, please be sure to ask yourself the following questions:

- Is it directly related to the forum posting?
- Is it directly related to Mac hardware, the iPod, or otherwise on-topic and relevant?
- Does the image help to clarify the text or otherwise contribute to the posting?
- Do I own the rights to post this image? Or does the image belong to someone else?

EveryMac.com reserves the right to reject any image for any reason, but if it doesn't meet the above criteria, it absolutely will *not* be posted. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

[ul][li]item 1[/li][/ul] will produce an unordered list, but please keep in mind you'll have to insert the [li][/li] tags around the list items, such as:

[ul][li]item 1[/li]
[li]item 2[/li]
[li]item 3[/li][/ul]
 • item 1
 • item 2
 • item 3

The [ol] tag will produce a similar list, but ordered (with numbers):

[ol][li]item 1[/li]
[li]item 2[/li]
[li]item 3[/li][/ol]
 1. item 1
 2. item 2
 3. item 3

http://www.everymac.com will produce http://www.everymac.com

EveryMac.com will produce EveryMac.com
Quote
will produce:

How can I create a signature or avatar?

EveryMac.com does not support signatures or avatars, as they consume unnecessary space and bandwidth. In particular, these "features" dramatically increase the load time for users on slower connections. Thank you for your understanding.
